What is socialogy?- Kunwoo Jang 장건우

 

 I listened the course 'What is socialogy?' last Tuesday. I discussed two topics with my classmates.

First topic is 'Why does fashion change?' We thought one reason. Because of Media, for example facebook and TV. Many people watch the famous star on facebook or TV. People want to look cool like them. So they imitate the star's fashion and fashion is changed. I think one more reason later. In the past, the rich had many money and spent more money on fashion in order to show off their wealth. The rich are dressed in better quality and higher prices. Fianlly fashions may change continuously.

Second topic is 'Why is starcraft so polular in korea?' We guessed that it was because of advanced Internet and PC room. Thank to highly developed Internet, gamers can play online were comfortable. And PC room is good to play with friends. As a result, the Starcraft was achieved great popularity in Korea.




I was very pleased with the class. I'm interested in socialogy. It is because there is no fixed answer. English is very difficult to me, but I like the class because I can think many thing and discuss with friends. Also I learned that there is no need to think hard. I will be interested more about sociology through this class.
