In prezi, I was interested in 'Glass ceiling'. Recently, hot issue is a women`s social advancement. In Korea society, from the past, patriarchal and male preference thought were spread, so women`s rights were limited than men. Since liberal democracy is introduced in Korea, today women are actively advanced in various society field. In addition, women were done a lot of demo for the acquisition of the suffrage and the abolition of the householder system. Through this process, all of the women, including the Korean women began to have equal rights.
However, in fact, women`s rights are invisibly discriminated. I was focused on an example of company. Women who have a pregnancy are forced to quit the work. Accordingly, women`s salary receive less than men. Also, company will receive a low score to women who have a leave of absence in the business evaluation in later. Thus, women`s inequality were persisted  and circulated.

Definition

Glass ceiling : "Invisible, but never a barrier that can not be denied." It is economic term that is used in the sense that.

My thought

Recently, inequality of Korean women has been considerably improved. For example, it is equal employment system and gender discrimination abolition law. However, even if these laws are well institutionalized, it can not easily be changed for Korean male preference thought that remained by custom. Of course, men are certainly are stronger than women, just be discrimination to have only the force, it is to be pursued in the animal world. Human beings, as the social animals, should examine about 'why women of inequality occurs.' and must seek a solution to it. I think that the most important thing is the change in our recognition. People should not consider women as subordinate being. Also, gender/sex is different, but people must admit that the ability between men and women is similar.
