Why are families changing?
Family form has been changed since primal age of humanity. Because of survival system.
In agricultural society, Big-sized families(like tribes) were usual. Because lots of people have to survive by hunting,gathering and farming. So that work requires many people and specialization was needed. So males usually hunt, females usually gather. And farming was job of both depending of its part. Also, to protect their survival requirements, they have to be big-sized. So that other groups of people cannot approach and threat.
In industrial society and modern society, small-sized families is usuall. Because there are no need to specialization in home. In family's place, resting and healing(not only body but also mind) is enough. And supporting many members in family is hard work. So usual people in today's society live in small-sized families.
