5.18 Gwangju Democracy Movement - Kimjinwoo
This event happened in 1980. This event is controversial. But I think this event is one of most important Democracy development. This caused Jeon du-hwan treason. He tried to seize power. So he led his military. In this course, people protest treason in Gwangju. Jeon du-hwan dictated to let off demonstrators. And many people died in course. But no one known this situation at the time. Because he controlled media. People in Gwangju was very anger. People stole many weapon and occupied Gwangju town hall.
Jeon du-hwan again dictated to keep down their by military. Militia battled military. And most of militia died in the place.
This event is important. Because people protested enormous power. In fact, result is sureness. Militia battled professional soldiers. Do not give up spirit is most important section in event.
