Why cannot we believe news totally?-Cho Sung-an(조성안)

According to Alain de Botton, We cannot believe these days' news for sure because of many reason.  In his book called 'The news: A user's manual,2014', he talks about the reason of many aspects.

Reciever's
 The recievers of news cannot believe news because of its main topic. Main topic says not only the pure truth but also overestimated one. When recievers see the news, they think that 'Is it really matters to our lives?'. For this reason, users usually underestimate(or even ignore) even the pure truth. And it causes them something. So they will think 'It was terrible! Why the news doesn't say all of truth that we needed!'(or 'It wasn't that important! Why did I believe that?')

Sender's
 The senders cannot send the news of pure truth. Because they usually have pressure. Government, or interest group(Just like big company. Samsung,apple,GM...etc) is source of pressure. Government usually demands like 'We have to earn good public sentiment!'. And inerest groups demand like 'We have to promote our group from this situation!'. So they usually have to send news that satisfies pressuring groups. They usually don't distort pure truth. But they will emphasize some aspects of truth, the tip of an iceberg.
