In past, Korea was a despotic state for decades. Dictators monopolized all of power. They justified the dictatorship that they developed and stablized the society. The then South Korea was established with the purpose of liberal democracy. But the presidents ignored that thing. Dictator supressed freedom of speech and oppressed the masses by force of arms. Also, people who opposed them, they regarded the people as a socialist. At that time, Socialism (North Korea) was the enemy to South Korea. In other words, the dictator regarded the opponent as a enemy and caused violence to the people. Citizen was outraged for dictator's suppression and violence. Finally the citizen started some revolution and recovered denocracy (For example, 4.19 revolution that resist President Lee Seungman's election fabrication, 5.18 democartization movement and June democratic contention resist President Jeon Doohwan's coup and dictatorship)
Today, some people(side with dictator) recognize the citizen who lead the revolution as a extreme socialist. In other words, they think the citizen was a North Korea's spy, there is a serious error.
They say the citizen attempt to confusion in the stable society. But, then South Korea was very unstable society because of government's suppression and violence, the citizen just attempt to recover democracy. On the other hand, it was government that behavior like North Korea. North Korea government pass on power to their descendants until now and arrest who criticize the 'King'. In the past, South Korea was the same as them. Only one monopolized all of power and arrested their opponent. Some people who blamed the revolution should notice their contradiction.
