MAIN TOPIC : Gender Stratification

This week, I learned about Gender stratification. As I was young, I have learned Gender equality education. Especially, Korean culture is influenced by the Confucain culture. So our society still remain that Gender stratification. Gender stratification mean the situation where members of one gender are advantaged on the basis of their sexual identities. In Korea society, males are more advantaged than female. But today, I think that encounter reverse discrimination when some case.
Topic 1 : What other gendered cultural symbols can we think of?
In our society, many gendered cultural symbols still remain. Becuase Korea has impacted Confucain culture long time. Confucain culture looks differently women from men, and section male and gemale roles where home and society. These traditional discrimiantion is hard to disappear right now. So, gendered cultural symbols is ancestral rites. On all such occasions, women work like dish-washing or cook and so on. But men just rest. These situation take for granted for many people.
Today many people endeavor for gender equality. Thanks to these effort a lot of section is change : a male nurse, a female bus driver, a female firefigher, a male hairstylist and so on. So I think theses effort need in succession. :)!!
