This weeks, I learned about Gender Stratification. in the past, people think that man is superior to woman. Physical power was the most important. So man reigned over the woman. These days, gender stratification is weakened. But It is not completely disappeared. I am going to talk about this through one question
"What other gendered cultural symbols can we think of ?"
As mentioned in the above, physical power is man`s words. physiologically man has developed muscles then woman. But
not all women are weaker than men is wrong. political power also related in man. In the past, politics was only the role of man. center of Mordern politics was always a man. But the President of South Korea in current are women who is Park Geun-hye. It is really a big change.
These stereotypes appear in the job. elementary school Teacher is good example. Most people think that someone says his or her the job is an elementary school teacher, almost people infer his or her gender is women. nowadays, Universities to train elementary school teachers try to regulate the sex ratio. Admissions number of students are limited like male 100, female 150 people.
Sunshade is woman`s stuff. If man use sunshade in summer, the man will receive strange eyes from many people.
