Terrorism Is that danger?
I studied about Conflict this week. According to wikipedia, conflict refers to some form of friction, disagreement, or discord arising within a group when the beliefs or actions of one or more members of the group are either resisted by or unacceptable to one or more members of another group. Actually there are a lot of conflict like war, terrorism and so on...
In those many forms of conflict, terrorism is one of the most dangerous thing. But according to the class, terrorism is not risky than heart disease, cancer and even hot weather. And there is a question.
Q. Why is terrorism seen as such a danger, if so few people have been affected by it?
I think that, disease and hot weather can be prevented. But terrorism can't because we don't know that when it occurs. When we have a disease, we will go to hospital and get well soon. But if terrorism has occurred, there will be many victims and we will not able to control it. Not only terrorism is unpredictable but also it causes a big confusion at the our society. If terrorism has occurred, social traffic will be paralyzed and people will get into a panic. In that situation, people can not do anything like going to work or school, shopping and there will be a large financial damage. Like that if terrorism has occurred, our society will get a huge damage.
Terrorism has less casualties than disease and the other things. But it's damage to our society is too big.
Your opinion about 'Why is terrorism danger' is very different with me. But your opinion is very creative, so I can agree with your opinion.
