Lecture Review : Gender Stratification (김민준 / Kim MIn Joon)


Gender Stratification in each country is very diverse.
In Particular, Korea's gendet stratification is severe.




This index represents gender disparity of Sweden and Korea. Since 2006, Korea's gender disparity has increased gradually. It means gender stratification is intensified.

Other indexes like literacy rate, enrollment in primary and secondary education, are not distinguished from gender, but in labor sector or enrollment in teritiary education (university enrollment)

Index 2 : employment rate
Index 3 : economic participation

As a result of gender inequality, fertility rate drops, and average age is going higher.
