In this week's lecture i learned many aspects of society.people gathered and made society, and Society controls people's lfe. I think this part is the most interesting part of Sociology.
I like to focus on korean society's problems and other sociological phenomenon.
Topic : HOW to reduce suicide in kroea?
During the lecture i saw a graph that korea has the highest rate of suicide among other countries. This is the most serious problem in korea today. In the suicide graph, I found something strange. It was that other countries that have high mortality rate caused by suicide are underdeveloped countries which have low gdp and they also has high mortality rate caused by infectious diseases. This is the difference between korea and other high rated suicide countries. I think koreans abandon their lives because of the stresses caused by overworking and money problems.This is hard to define because suicide is very complex. But most of them killed themselves because of hard life and depression.
This problem can't be solved easily. To reduce suicide, we haev to be focus on indivisuals and Society.It is also can be told that we have access in two ways. Macro way and micro way. First, government have to focus on this problem and need to support depressed people. They need to be cured and it can't be done by just themselves. They need to meet psychiatirst, but it may be hard because of lack of money. Government should shore up on mental medical issues. And Indivisual should make atmosphere that help others. Korea made a rapid development and this is possible by limitless competition. This atmostphere must be disappear. We have to work in personal to change this social atmosphere
