What is Sociology 7 - Kim Jae Hoon (김재훈)

Topic 1: Color pink is associated with girls. Why?

This is associated with the acquired learning.
We have to learn constantly after birth.
Although learning is essential, childhood learning should also form a stereotype.
This may just be that illustrate the topic.
Childhood, we have seen a number of children's books and animated films.
Take the Walt Disney animated film as an example.
Can you imagine Rapunzel wearing a brown dress?
Female characters are dressed in bright colors, and male characters are dressed in the colors that contrast with the girls.
Through this process, our minds have (bright color = feminine color) equation is stamped.

Topic 2: Can we think of other ways the society tells us how different things are expected from boys and girls?

Bravery. Strength. Progressive / homey. Calm. Softness.
Each keyword represents men and women. (Of course, in the old world of ideas.)

From a long time ago, society has demanded their different roles for men and women.
Males made money, the women did household chores.
A stereotypes that had been built over centuries are influenced until now. However, in modern times, the gap has narrowed.

Men and women became almost equal status.
Society is changing to expect an equal role to also, male and female.
