Socialization and Social Control-Kimjinwoo

 We learned about Socialization and Social control. At first, we learned Social cohesion and Social Integration before learned Socialization and Social Control. Social cohesion and integration is important thing in society. Because, in addition both contribute Socialization and Social control, both were maintained society.
 My opinion, Socialization means that it's people to adopt society. So people have norm, role of society. As a result, people in society do acting as society want. That is good situation and also bad situation. Good situation is vanishing conflict. But there are bad situation. Nobody people complain about society. Despite society is inequality, most of people satisfied.  Eventually society don't advance. 
 Let's talking about social control now. Social control consists of diverse way. First way is incentive. Incentive promote social behavior and discourage anti-social behavior. This is 'carrot and stick' policy. Another way is intermediate. For example, total institution separate anti social people. As such, social control maintain people act social behavior.
From now on, talk about questions that discussed in class.

Color pink is associated with girls?

 When our group discussed this question. We thought distinction culture. People thought that pink is man's color in Enlightenment of time in Korea. Culture was changed over time. And our culture resemble West's culture. So West's culture that pink is associated with girls influenced our culture and thinking. As a result, we think now that pink is associated with girls.
 After class, I study prezi.  Socialization made that we think that pink is associated with girls in prezi. Socialization made uniform thinking. One of uniform thinking is that pink is associated with girls.
 People in society received socialization. People think that society want. It use bad direction. Rich and politician control people by socialization. For  example, Nazi control people by socialization. As a result, German happened war.          

Can you think of ways the society tell us how different things are expected from boys and girls? 

 People expected respectively boys and girls. First boys is expected strong and active. Boys has to play exercise and don't be looked crying. And people want boys lead girls.

Sometimes there is mans that have femininity. And they is misconceived gay.

 Girls are expected quite and demureness. Maybe girls act actively, parents tell her you have to act feminine.  As such, people expected gender roles.
