Our class learned about 'Gender Stratification' in this week. Professor said that 'Gender Stratification' is the situation where members of one gender are advantaged on the basis of their sexual identities. In our society, males are generally more advataged than women. For example, males commonly receive more power and resources than women. Besides, many other sexual minorities are more disadvantaged. Also, It is more likely that Gender Stratification leads sexual discrimination.  I think this problem has to solve quickly. To solve this problem, we must have the mind that every all men are created equal and they are treasure. And thier human rights is very important. Therefore, thier human rights are worth to keep, too. As a result, it is essential that we follow correct(proper) Gender Stratification.

Also, our class talked the topic that 'What other gendered cultural symbols can we think of?' (about 'Gender Stratification')

In Korea, people generally think 'Doctors' are males and 'Nurses' are females. When one male says "I want to be nurse.", Korean people regard the man like stranger. We can see this phenomenon in many companies. Generally, males take high positions and females take low positions in thier work. It seems that Korean people still have the mind that males are more powerful than females.
