Should korean government do more to reduce poverty and promote equality?

Of course they must do that. The most important thing that government should do is reducing poverty. Government should do disperse wealth that focus on top class. For example, in America, the top 1 percent own 20 percent of the whole wealth. In short, social structure was built by the top class that monopolize wealth. Government must break this irrational social structure. Any good alternative in wrong structure can’t be fundamental alternative. Break this wrong structure is only fundamental alternative. I introduce novel and movie concerned with social structure.

Novel name is GangJang(1955), This novel deals with Korea territory of division problem. Especially crticize ideology of South and North Korea and social structure. Main Character: Lee Myung Joon come and go South Korea and North Korea. Each country persuade him to come their country. But He see each country’s social problem. So he have a feeling of doubt. He finally don’t choose anything from two country. He choose neutral nation that not have political confrontation and social structure problem.

Movie name is Snowpiercer(2013). This movie is based on France comic. New glacial period come to humans and people in Snowpiercer(train). is the only survivor. But this train has class like social class. The lower class people live in the last room and the upper class people live in the front room. The lower class people raise a rebellion about this wrong system.

Those two work have 60 years of gap. But those two work’s message is same.

The real solution in now social system and ideology is breaking from the now social structure and ideology.

I feel very bad because those two work have 60 years of gap but those two work’s message is same. We has not solved this social problem for 60 years. So I think korean government do more to reduce poverty and promote equality by fundamental solution that incorrupt government lead.

 

 

What is the function of stratification  ?

I think function of stratification has good and bad sides. First, Good thing is stratification enable economic, welfare policy according to stratification. For example government can give more welfare benefit to poorer class. Bad thing is stratification can naturally make gap between the rich and poor. And this make conflict between upper class and poorer class. As a result society can be instability.
