Charismatic leader, Yi Sun-sin. - Yeon ju, Heo. (허연주)

We learned and discussed several topics. But I write about 1 topic that I interested in.

[Can you think of examples of charismatic, traditional and rational-legal leaders or governments in the history of your own country?]

_ General Yi Sun-sin

He was born April 28, 1545, in Hanseong, Joseon Dynasty. He was a Korean naval commander. He took part in many battle against Japanese invasion. He took part in Japanese invasion in May 23, 1592. He won first at Battle of Okpo in July 16, 1592. After the battle, he won at many battle like Battle of Hansan Island, Battle of Busan. His last battle is Battle of Noryang. He died at the Battle of Noryang on December 16, 1598. And he said his last wish.
"Do not let my death be known"

After the his last battle, Japanese invasion had ceased.

I think he was charismatic leader and distinguished strategist. He didn’t afraid and led his army well. He defeated many enemies, just has 12 warships in Battle of Myeongnyang. This heroic story was made with movie in 2014, named ROARING CURRENTS.

His last wish was 'don't let enemies know his death.'.  Because if enemies knew his death, enemies would attack his army harder.
He did not bend his will and he was brave. Then, he won Japanese invasion.
I respect for his leadership and courage.
