Topic 1: What functions religion may have?

 Functionalism

Religions reinforce social norms and integrate people. So the social is stabilized. And religions establish people's identity in social group. Religion lessen people's worry so they can focus on their social responsibility.

Conflict theory

Religions control social. And they justify equality of social norms. Regions ruling class preserve structure that they can make a profit.

My think

My think is similar with conflict theory idea. I think religion is wrong thing that ruling classes use for their profit. They make believe divine something then make forget hard reality. Someone may think my opinion is excessively negative. But Let's think about heads of religion. We can see many corruptions and bribes that the heads of religion commit. So I think religion is wrong thing that ruling classes use for their profit.

Topic 2 : Why Muslim does not

eat pork?

The reason that Muslim doesn't eat pork is their climate, lifestyle and environment. Islams' climate is too hot to raise pig. And their lifestyle is nomadic life. Nomadic life is not well-suited to pigs. Pigs need lots of foods and water. But their environment is not enough to raise pigs. So I think that religion strongly influenced by their climate, lifestyle, environment. Religion is not far away their real world.
