I learned "sociology vs other disciplines (economics, political science, anthropology, psychology) and many sociologists comte, spencer, Karl marx, Durkheim, Weber and etc. I knew Durkheim and Karl marx since high school class.But I didn't know other sociologists. I could know new facts.
First, Comte was called the "father of sociology". Also, Spencer was modeled human society in biological terms. Karl marx played a major role in the establishment of the social sciences. Durkheim defined sociology as a science about social facts.
Through this lecture, I felt that sociology is not separate field. Sociology connects another field.
Can you think of examples of charismatic, traditional and rational-legal leaders or governments in the history of Korea?
I think that charismatic, traditional, and rational-legal leader is admiral Lee sun shin. I think Lee sun shin is a great leader as well as a charismatic leader. Because he left a lot of achievements. Admiral Lee sun shin was the most outstanding in sea fights. He won Hansando, Myeongnyang, Nonyang sea fights.
He tried to protect the nation and devoted his life not to lose our country.
He attempted adventurous and dangerous methods to protect our country.
By these courage of Lee sun shin, our country exists.
These achievements was showed through the film "Myeongnyang". This movie was recorded in history of ten million audiences. To record ten million audiences is not only that this movie is great but also we want person like Lee sun shin to be a leader. Therefore I think Admiral Lee sun shin was a charismatic and great leader.
I read well your blog. Those neatly organized for past sociologist our opinion was good display. In the second question, if I cited another person as an example, I also agree that you have said the Admiral Yi SunSin as an example of charismatic authority. Leadership and patriotism of Yi Sunsin showed South Korea is no longer bear to Japan. Therefore, I think that Yi SunSin is a charismatic authority who are influential in South Korea.
ReplyDeleteI thought that charismatic leader is Sejong The Great. But i got to know that Yi sun-shin general also is charismatic leader. He tried to protect Joseon. Also he created Geobukseon. (look like turtle) He has imagination as well as charisma. So I agree with your idea. :-)
