Main topic: What is sociology?

I listened the course ' what is sociology?'.

l'm not good at english, but the lecture was very interesting and funny.

we discussed two social issue.

Topic1 : why does fashion change?

First discussion is 'why does fashion change?'.

I discussed my team member.

My team conclusion is that the reason why fashion changing is high class differentiation strategy.

 High class people want to divide common people.

So they divide class bv clothes.

Since then people who admire them follow their clothes.

Thus fashion always change.

And many factors are influencing the fashion change.

Fashion is change based on Political economy, society and culture

 

 

 

 

 

Topic2: why starcraft is so popular in korea?

Second discussion is "Why starcraft is so popular in Korea?’"

I discussed my team member again.

I think that why starcrft is so popular in korea is caused by

the korean character and Competition of the game.

Before appearing starcraft,  There was no competitive games in Korea.

Competitive games like Starcraft stimulate korean who have desire for winning.

So starcraft gained in popularity from korea.

And PCroom Culture is a great influence.

A big screen and faster computers plays games provided a good environment to do.

 

 

In the end

 

I think that sociology is boring and hard study before invitation to sociology.

But it is very interesting to debate with the issue and to analyze the cause of the social issue.

In the future, I do not think sociology is difficult and I will make an effot to approach sociology

I'm not going to be announced this class, but in the next class i will announce my opinion
