Topic 1 : ‘Why does fashion culture change’
We discussed about this subject. We think the reason is the development of technology.
For a long, long time science and technology has developed, and fashion is also developed.
So fashion culture must be changed. I researched about this topic, the result is following.
In the past, person wore the clothing that they made themselves. However the industrial revolution took place, the apparel industry began to grow from that time.
Look at the term ‘pret a porter’. The term ‘pret a porter’ means ready-made, this term has started in france after World War II. ‘pret a porter’ is luxury, but inexpensive.
Fashion divide the social strata. And, fashion is propagated from upper class to down class. ‘pret a porter’ takes advantage of these characteristics, could be successful. When we saw this case, we can know. The first reason is that the technology has evolved, the second reason is that fashion distinguish the social class.
Topic 2 : ‘Why Starcraft game so popular in Korea?’
I’m interested in this topic. Because I usually enjoyed this game, and I wonder the reason of this topic. In group discussion, there are various opinions like ‘story is interesting’, ‘there are many of characters’, ‘so strategic’, ….
Let’s talk about the reason.
I don’t know the existence of alien.
We have no information of real alien.
We only know alien of movie.
That’s attractive.
People has interested in other thing. But it’s not enough.
In the 1997, IMF has occurred in South korea.
The korean had a difficult economically, ‘Starcraft’ gave to them a small happiness.
Especially, ‘Battlenet service’ was a real innovative.
Starcraft boom was spread to the country and generated the many of PC Rooms.
So I think the reason of why starcraft game so popular in korea is that “pain of IMF”, “innovative multi-play service”, “generating of the Internet Cafe(PC Room)”.
You have different opinion in terms of the first topic! I think that fashion changes because people change. But you think that fashion change because of the development of technology. But I agree your opinion, too. Also I am not interested in computer game, so I am very hard when I understand the second topic about starcraft game. But you are very intelligent about the second topic! your posting is very interesting and impressive!
ReplyDeleteYour opinion is very creative. Because i only think fasihon changes because of people emotion. I am just subjective. But you point out technology. The technology's development that you think that it is cause of changing is very objective. In our opinion, it seems like like the opposite direction, but they're irrelevant. Because materials are maden by technology so higher choose one style :)

ReplyDeleteI agree Starcraft is attractive, and I think one more. Starcraft is released 90's, at that time there is no game better quality than Starcraft. So people loved Starcraft.
