I listened the lecture "What is sociology?".
Before I listened the lecture, I was not interested in sociology.
I was worried and thought the lecture is difficult
But after the lecture, I thought sociology is not very boring and has interesting things.
Also, the lecture is funny and interesting.
During the class, we discussed about two topics.
Topic1.Why does fashion change?
First topic is "Why does fashion change?".
First, I think the reason is personal growth.
When we were young, we put on clothes that mothers chose. But as we grew, we had our personal tastes. Finally we choose our fashion.
Also we can choose clothes that we want. But this is not only reason. Second, Koreans are sensitive of trend. So we have "mob psychology". Mob psychology's mean is that if someone does something, another person does it, too. People don't want to be old fashioned about fashion. So we become interested in fashion.As a result,Fashion designers make new trendy clothes and spread them. We accept them. Then I think fashion changes.
Topic2.Why is Starcraft so popular in korea?
Second topic is "why is starcraft so popular in korea?" I don't play this game. But I know starcraft. This mean is that starcraft is so popular and famous. I think the reason that starcraft is popular is online game. Online game is easily accessible. So because korea has so many pc rooms, many people easily access this game. So, this game does not need to be together in same place. This game can play with strangers in online. Starcraft is not one-man game. In other words, this game does not have to be at the same place, but to play the game we have some friends in online. We can play together. If many people play, the game spreads more quickly. A person begins this game and his friends begin, too. For this reason, StarCraft spreads quickly and became the most popular game.

ReplyDeleteThis passage agrees. I childhood parents have been bought me clothes, but I became interested in fashion so caused their own personality with age.( I think that maybe great influence of the internet.)
I agree with your idea that the social character of Starcraft made Koreans like the game. I think the social character of Starcraft is more liked by Koreans because Koreans have a highly social character like '정' than other nations. This must have made Koreans love starcraft.
